On June 15, 2016, 15 representatives from eight different organizations came together to discuss the challenges and opportunities of being a conservation manager today. Each one is focused on protecting and conserving parks, watersheds, natural areas, and the people who depend on them.

The day's goal was to facilitate a dialogue that would provide value on common, pressing, and timely challenges. The key topics discussed were:

  • Making measures relevant to decision makers
  • Funding
  • Open Standards for the practice of conservation
